Mounts, Pets, Androids, Insectoids, Monster Poll

Hello again everyone! Here's a quick recap of everything we have added this past month.

Mounts

Shortly after our last Kickstarter update, we added 14 different mounts including some of our monsters like the dragon, wolf and panther. The remaining mounts that still need to get brought over from DesktopHero are the horse, motorcycle, rowboat and lizard.

Pets

Pets are also now available to use with your character including the 4 pets from DesktopHero, 2 pets from our recent Advent Calendar, and 3 new pets from our Pirate and Steampunk packs. We have one more steampunk bird to add, which is very close to being finished.

Insectoids and Androids

Everyone welcome insectoids and androids to the party! Both of these new presets include new head, arm, hand and body options which you can use interchangeably with your other humanoid characters. Note: Androids are what we are using for the "Forged like" race stretch goal.

Software - Add Character Menu Updated

• Humanoids and Creatures get separate tabs 
• My Characters looks a little nicer, and doesn't lag when you have lots of saved characters
• Show All Parts is now a toggle on/off switch (old button just turned it on)

Note: to delete and manage your character, you will need to click on the gear icon in the upper right. If you'd like the delete button back let us know!

We need your input! We are getting close to wrapping up the bulk of the DesktopHero -> TitanCraft merge, and it's time to think more about the future. If you have been with us since the Monsters Kickstarter, you'll know that sometimes we run polls to help make sure we are releasing the new content you, our community, needs most. Use the link below to vote for the next monsters you would like to see in TitanCraft. While monsters might be a little more applicable to DM's, don't forget that you can kitbash anything on our site together, or turn anything into a mount. 🙂 (Poll closes February 7, 11:59PM MST)

Happy New Year Everyone! 🎇🍾

We hope you were able to spend some quality time with family and loved ones over the holidays. 

2022 was a very busy year for TitanCraft, and we're really happy to see the amount of progress we made with our small team last year. We updated our domain to titancraft.com, fought through an unanticipated artist shortage (thank you Mia Kay for saving the day), released an improved base system, released our Alpha, revamped and transferred 99% of DesktopHero assets to TitanCraft, added 3 new asset packs (Pirate, Steampunk, Advent Calendar), released 3 new monsters (Owlbears, Hags, Spiders), added 15 different player character presets to choose from, released our beta, and even improved some parts of our software like adding the Attach Part feature. And those are just the highlights.

But we know what you probably care about the most is...

What's Next?

We have stated this before, but it doesn't hurt to reiterate. TitanCraft will officially launch before we finish all the stretch goal features. When will this happen? Per our merchant license agreement, the official launch would be when we finish the Pirate and Steampunk packs (which will be complete once pets are released very soon). That being said, we are going to delay the "official" launch until we have finished a few more of our mounts and character presets.

As of right now, we are anticipating a launch date of February 15. What will this entail? For the average user, not much! We just hope to have as many of the mounts and presets available as possible. For Merchants, if you have signed your agreement the first year of your license will officially start.

Assets Progress Update, Mounts, New Race, Advent Calendar

Happy December everyone! We wanted to give you another update on where we are at with TitanCraft, and what you can expect in the near future.

Asset Progress Update

Over the past few weeks we have been busy releasing all sorts of different assets to the TitanCraft beta (clothes, handheld items, weapons etc). Here's an updated chart showing where we are at for the % of DesktopHero assets that are now available in TitanCraft. This is not including pets or mounts.

Things are getting very close!

Mounts

We've also been busy working on mounts. Since TitanCraft is a completely new engine compared to DesktopHero, there has been some backend work we have needed to do to make mounts work. If all continues to go well, we should have some mounts for you to test before the end of the year.

New Race Coming Soon

Another update we're trying to get in before the end of the year is insect people! Compared to the DesktopHero model which only had an insect head that used the human body, our new model has been sculpted with insect themed textures from head to toe! We're really happy with the sculpt quality of the new models. Take a looksie!

Advent Calendar

Like we mentioned in our last update, thanks to Mia's hard work we are releasing new assets each day through December 24th as part of a digital advent calendar! Make sure to check out one of our social media pages to see what new item has been added. @titancraftminis on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We hope you enjoy these new festive items. 🎅

Skirts & Pants, Software Optimizations, New Monsters, In-House Fulfillment, One More Sneak Peek

Hello again! Lots to cover in this update -- let's dive in.

Skirts and More Auto-Adjust Pants

From modern business person to eccentric mage, we have a good handful of skirt options now to use for your characters.

We also were able to make most of our pants options auto-adjust to different shoes. Hurray for less clipping! The pants that still need to get done are the chainmail leggings and some of the steampunk options.

Software Optimization - Memory Leaks

A couple months ago, we started to notice an increase memory usage in our application. After doing some digging, we discovered that the version of the 3D viewer library we are using had known memory leaks. We are have updated to a newer version where those bugs have been fixed, but are still testing the changes on our local machines before we push any changes to the live site.

New Monsters

Hopefully you had all treats and no tricks this past Halloween! 🎃 We had an eventful time releasing our 3 newest monsters - Hags, Owlbears and Spiders. It's very exciting to see some of these models already getting used in your custom miniatures, and we hope you're enjoying them as much as we do.

In-House 3D Print Fulfillment

Up until now, we have worked with 2 different print fulfillers to better serve our customers from around the globe, and both have been great to work with. Recently, however, we started noticing a decline in quality control for our US orders which wasn't meeting our standards. Because of this, we have decided to do our own 3D print fulfillment for now on most of our US orders (we'll use our international fulfiller to pinch-hit when needed).

Last Sneak Peek of the Year 🎄

Thanks to Mia's hard work, we have one more fun pack of goodies for you before the year is over. This December we will be offering our first ever Advent Calendar asset pack (digital)! Each day from the 1st - 24th, we will release a seasonal themed asset from the Advent Calendar pack. We don't want to show you too much (it is an advent calendar after all :) ), but here is a little taste of what the pack will contain.

Instruments pt 1, Goblins & Dryads, Quivers, New Monsters Teasers

Hey everyone!

We just released another update to the TitanCraft beta. Here's what's new:

Instruments

Bards rejoice! We have started uploading some of our instruments to TitanCraft. You'll be pleased to know that we completely overhauled the sculpt quality of most of our instruments, and on top of that, we added a couple new instrument options to choose from. Two handed poses are not yet available, but we hope to add them in the future.

Goblins & Dryads

Two new race options have been added to the mix! As part of their arrival, we have also introduced a new eye option, new eyelid option, and new nose options to choose from (not available on the human head yet). 

Quivers + misc items

Our quivers complication has been solved, and they are now available to use! We also added some extra steampunk goodies for you to use in your character designs including a few shoulder items + a steam powered glider.

New Monsters Teasers

As we mentioned in our previous update, we've also been hard at work getting our next monsters ready to release this Halloween. Here's a sneak peak of what's to come!
