Latest Updates from Our Project:
Skeletons & Tieflings, Long Hair & Beards, Shields + more
over 2 years ago

Hey all!
We just released a pretty big update with a bunch of new toys for you to play around with. Let's jump in!
Skeletons and Tieflings 💀 😈
Today's update brings you two more race presets to choose from! A couple of cool things these guys brought with them to the party:
- Couldn't have tieflings without some horns! Multiple horn options have been added which you can use on all of your characters. (more on horns below)
- the skeleton parts can be found as separate pieces in All Parts mode, meaning you can get creative and add bones to your scenes in all sorts of fun ways! A skelly leg makes a great bludgeon for example. 🦴
Shields
You can now give your adventurer the extra protection they need with a handy dandy shield. We completely overhauled our free Woodland shield and added a Leaf Shield to the druid pack. We're also happy to announce a cool feature you'll only find in TitanCraft where shields can attach to either the hand or arm, and will load with the appropriate strap / handle configuration. Plus you can fine tune the shield size to your liking. 😎
Long Hairstyles & Beards
Long hairstyles have now been added, and the majority of them are even posable! 🎉 By using Advance Pose mode you can give your character's long hair a more dramatic pose or adjust it to avoid clipping into other parts of the model for a more professional look.
We also got most of the beards into the software. 🧔 Similar to long hair, you'll find that you can do some basic posing to long beards in Advance Pose mode.
Horns
The majority of horns from DesktopHero have been added to TitanCraft. We also made as many of the monster horns compatible with the humanoid head as we could. 🎉 You can find horns under the Body->Head tab.
Capes
The majority of our capes from DesktopHero have now been added to TitanCraft. In addition to revamping the old meshes, we also have made capes posable! This is a super fun feature to play around with and we can't wait to see how you all use it. Fair warning, capes are one of the more tricky objects to advance pose. Too much stretching and twisting can result in paper thin areas.
Potions
Adding potions to the software was a fun way for us to get ready to add more unique handheld items that aren't weapons! To play around with some potions plus a few other arcane items head over to the Items tab.
Base Textures
Two new base textures have been added for you to choose from -- Sand and Ancient Stone. Unique bases really help support a character's theme, and we can't wait to add more textures plus all our base decor.
Asset Organization
As our list of customization options continues to grow, we have done some reorganization with our assets in the menu. Our goal is to help make navigation more intuitive and user friendly. Here's what has changed:
- The Body tab has been split into "Body" and "Head" sub categories. Under the Head category you'll find hair, beards, eyes, teeth, tongues and horns (where applicable).
- Clothing has been organized from head to toe to be more intuitive.
- Items/Effects and Weapons have been consolidated into one Items tab. A little more organization with subtabs and/or icons will come at a later date.
We have a couple more changes in the works as well including asset pack icons on asset thumbnails for quick visual identification and an asset search bar. A future goal we also have, but don't know when will happen yet, is to add icons to sub categories like swords, axes, etc to help locate the parts you are looking for.
Other Misc Updates
- Preset characters now have free assets on by default.
- The original TitanCraft bases have been removed. They will still work on old characters, but you won't see the option to choose them anymore.
- Clicking a part in pose preset mode now takes you to poses available for that part.
- Improved visual indicators when swapping assets.
- We'll be at our local comic con in September! If you're in the Tucson area feel free to stop by. :)
Regarding our timeline, it's still hard for us to give an exact date of when everything will be done. We're making a lot of good progress, but there is still a lot of work left to do. We'll continue to keep you posted!
That's all for now! If you have any comments, questions or discover any bugs be sure to let us know.
Until next time,
Jared & the team
Dragonborn & Kobolds, Attach Anywhere, Undo/Redo
over 2 years ago
– Wed, Jun 15, 2022 at 03:38:38 AM
Hello, Andrew here with new about some cool new features / quality of life updates for TitanCraft!
Dragonborn & Kobolds
Say hello to the first of our less humanoid races! Dragonborn and Kobolds are now available to customize! Horns, teeth, eyes, snout shape, height and build are all customizable.
Attach Any Part Anywhere
So you already knew you could add multiple parts to a scene and position them wherever you want. Now, you can attach them onto the characters in your scene.
This has several benefits:
1) The attached piece will follow the pose of the character, instead of being left floating in space when the character moves. This is a LOT easier than having to repose all the custom-added pieces individually.
2) The 'characters' menu doesn't get cluttered with a million separate pieces that have you have to keep track of. You can just place it, attach it, forget it.
3) You can save custom combinations (such as a weapon made of multiple other weapons and spell effects) as a new character, then import them whenever you want to use them in another scene.
Other things you can do:
Copy / Paste parts. For quickly adding multiples of the same object, e.g. horns, spines, shells, tentacles. Ctrl-c to copy, Ctrl-v to paste.
Flip parts to turn left-handed parts into right-handed parts and vice versa. (Character menu)
Detach parts if you want to reattach them somewhere else, or you just want to pull a piece off into its own separate character.
Undo / Redo
TitanCraft now supports undo / redo while posing models!
Undo steps are independent for each character in a scene. This means you can tinker with the pose of one character, change characters and do other stuff, then come back to the first character and undo / redo at the same point you left off.
This feature is fairly well tested, but still new, so I won't be surprised if bugs crop up. If you run into anything that's not working correctly, please report it on our Discord.
I'm pretty happy with these software updates. I think they'll enable you to create cooler minis in much less time. If you make something cool, share it with us!
Here are a couple other bits and bobs:
Preview Mode
Want to take a nice screenshot of your character? The camera button on the lower left will put you in Preview Mode, which hides most of the user interface and gives all characters in the scene the same material.
Lighting Update
Small tweak, but we adjusted the lighting so that characters appear much less washed out than before. (Especially when seen from above.)
We're making good progress on the asset remeshing as well. If you haven't logged in in a while, you'll find a good number of new costumes there.
Thanks everyone for your support, hope you enjoy the new updates.
Best,
Andrew, Jared & Mia
Hair 👱♂️, more outfits and quality of life improvements!

Happy Friday everyone!
We just pushed another update to the alpha adding some hair styles, more outfit options + some quality of life fixes!
Hair
Your bald characters can now rejoice. In this update, you will find 19 hairstyles to choose from! Long hairstyles have not been added yet, but are coming soon. We also had to temporarily disable some of the hat options, but they'll be back!
One question that we are frequently asked is will hair be posable in advance pose mode. Hair will not have the level of control that you are familiar with in our advance pose mode, but we are hoping that we will be able to provide advance users at least some basic control. Fingers crossed.
More Outfits
We also have finished more clothing options from our Sci-Fi, Modern and Free Assets. It's exciting to see our library grow, and we hope you enjoy the new additions! 🙂
Bug Fix + QOL features added
Downloads Bug
There was a pesky bug that was resulting in some downloads having bad, jagged geometry. The bug has been fixed, and downloads should be working again as intended. If you happen to spot an asset that still downloaded with bad geometry please let us know.
Asset Browse Highlight Feature
While browsing through assets you will now see which parts of your character will be replaced by a particular asset. Our hope is that this will make it clear to the user what to expect when adding a new part to the character. This feature is only available to desktop users.
Default Pose Preset Added
For all our advance pose users out there, you now have a default pose preset to choose from if you'd like to custom pose every part of your miniature. Enjoy!
That's all for now. Next up on our list is long hairstyles, beards and more assets!
Until next time,
Jared & the TitanCraft team
Link DesktopHero to TitanCraft account ~ Dwarves, Halflings, Elves ~ Pirate outfits
over 2 years ago
– Thu, May 05, 2022 at 12:27:23 AM
Another productive week with a few new goodies for you to try in the alpha...
Linking your DesktopHero to your TitanCraft account
We're happy to announce that you can now link your DesktopHero account to your TitanCraft account! Please do not share this info with anyone yet. We want to make sure that our Kickstarter backers are the first to get all situated before we open the floodgates. Here's how to link your accounts:
1. Make sure you have created a TitanCraft account
2. Make sure you are logged into both your DesktopHero account and your TitanCraft account, in the same browser.
Reminder! We are still in the process of moving everything over. You will not see all the assets after linking your accounts. As assets become available they will be automatically added to your library.
We have added a My Library section to your user profile page that shows all the monster and asset packs unlocked on your account. After linking your DesktopHero account, you should see all the asset packs you previously owned now show up under Unlocked Asset Packs.
If you unlocked individual assets without purchasing an asset pack, you'll see those listed under Unlocked Assets. You might also see some assets displayed here that have been moved from one asset pack to another. For example, the pirate shirt and swashbuckling boots previously belonged to the Fantasy pack, but they are getting moved to the Pirate pack. If you purchased the Fantasy asset pack on DesktopHero, you will still own those assets in TitanCraft even though they've been moved.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Proportions!
If you open the Sizing tab, you'll now find proportion sliders to control things like the height, body thickness, arm thickness, hand size and more!
Now that proportions have been added, it allows us to start working on some of the additional races like Dwarves and Halflings.
Dwarves, Halflings and Elves!
When creating a new character you will now see presets for Humans, Dwarves, Halflings and Elves. These presets are still in the early stages of development and will be polished off over time, but we wanted to give you an early look to see how things are going so far. We hope you have some fun playing around with them!
Still no hair or beards, but it's in progress. We'll cover more on that in the next update.
Pirate outfits remeshing started!
In today's update we also are releasing a few of the pirate assets including some tops, pants and overcoats. Hurray for more stuff!! 👚🧥
Bug Fix
We also fixed an annoying bug where the asset pack name wasn't displaying in the asset info box. If you click on the asset info icon, you will now see which asset pack it belongs to.
Quick tip (this only applies to digital backers): if the asset icon is blue, that means the asset is free to download or you have unlocked unlimited downloads for that asset. If the icon is grey, that means you have not unlocked unlimited downloads for that particular asset.
May the 4th be with you!
As a little bonus for all the star wars fans out there, we also have moved our beam sword over to the TitanCraft alpha. May the 4th be with you.
Fantasy content drop ~ New team member! ~ Proportions coming soon

Hello again! It's only been a couple weeks, but we already have lots of news and progress to share with you. You can expect more frequent updates now that we have gained some good traction. 😎
🎉 Welcome Mia Kay to the TitanCraft team! 🎉
We're so excited to announce the newest member of our team, Mia Kay (aka M3DM)! Most of you probably already know who Mia Kay is thanks to her Patreon, MyMiniFactory page, or one of her previous Kickstarters. Now we're joining forces and bringing together our creativity and passion for creating 3D printed miniatures! *unlimited power emperor palpatine gif*
Fantasy Pack Content Drop
We've been hard at work remeshing the fantasy asset pack and are making good progress! You will find more clothing options plus a couple more swords to choose from now.
Proportions Coming Soon
In addition to remeshing, we have also been working on changeable proportions presets! Still need to wrap a few things up with them, but you should get to start experimenting with them sometime in the next few weeks. This is an important step for us as we get ready to add additional races to TitanCraft.
